Dr. Craig Lichtblau is a native of West Palm Beach, Florida and is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry). He graduated Florida State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology and chemistry. He graduated with an M.D. degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in Plymouth Montserrat. He completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. He became board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 1991 and passed the recertification exam in April 2005.

Dr. Lichtblau practices pediatric, adult and geriatric inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation medicine. He has an outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation practice with over 35,000 patients. He was the Medical Director of the St. Mary’s Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit from 1990 – 2006, which is the trauma hospital for the northern part of Palm Beach County, and he has had over 6000 admissions. Currently, Dr. Lichtblau continues to practice Inpatient Rehabilitation at St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach, Fl. and is the Assistant Medical Director to the adult inpatient rehabilitation unit and the current Medical Director of the Inpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation Unit at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Dr. Lichtblau has consulted with Children’s Medical Services (CMS) since 1989 and had performed over 6000 consultations on neurologically devastated children for the State of Florida from 5 counties.

Dr. Lichtblau is also the Medical Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for the Florida Institute for Neurologic Rehabilitation, which is a 216 bed transitional living facility specializing in long-term care for patients that have suffered traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries.

Dr. Lichtblau is engaged in active private practice treating patients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple orthopedic fractures, stroke, progressive neurologic diseases, and patients who have musculoskeletal pain and disability.

Nationally, Dr. Lichtblau performs disability evaluations where he defines a patient’s impairment, disability, and costs for future medical care utilizing his knowledge, training and ongoing clinical practice experience
